Customer Review: The perfect teacup

I had read all of the reviews before purchasing this item and was concerned about the small size and fragility of the piece. However, the Chinese teacups I already have are even smaller than this one, so I was delighted with its 6 ounce capacity. This little glass canteen is the perfect size for a teaspoon of tea leaves. I love to be able to watch the leaves unfold and the color of the tea emerge into the water. To be able to immediately hold the tea glass is such a bonus -- I don't have to wait for the tea to cool.
The canteen is exceptionally well made. I have several Bodum double wall glasses and am aware of their fragility. However the delicacy of the glass is what makes it such a treasure to drink from. Because it has no handle to break off I know I can find something to cushion it while traveling. How wonderful to be able to carry such a lovely teaglass/infuser wherever I go!
Several people complained that the tea leaves escaped from the infuser into the glass. I have found very little residue, certainly not enough to be a concern. The minute particles of residue sink to the bottom of the glass and in no way interfere with enjoying the tea. This lovely canteen is a Must-Have for anyone who wants to appreciate a small serving of fine tea at a perfect temperature.

The Canteen Tea Cup Infuser Set is perfect for all types of loose leaf tea. Additionally, it allows you to view the tea while it brew and develops rich colors and taste. the filter containing tea leaves inside can be removed and used again to re-infuse the same quality loose leaf tea. All parts are made of ultra-light, temperature safe borosilicate glass. The filter ensures that leaves and kernels remain within the filter while brewing, allowing the aroma of the tea to fully evolve without the messy remains of tea leaves escaping into the cup. the lid retains the heat in the cup while the tea brews and also acts as a saucer when the filter is taken out.
