Customer Review: Bodum: A company run by idiots!

Bodum must be run by idiots. This shiny black electric tea kettle came with a bright blue paper sticker on it that reads: "Help Save Energy, Never Boil More Water Than You Need". As carefully as I tried to peel it off it left torn paper and adhesive all over the outside of the kettle. The can't kettle can't be soaked in water to soften the sticker because it says "Never immerse the item in water, remember this is an electrical appliance." Right. Given it has a shiny plastic surface, you can't scrub it either. Now here's the really idiotic thing from a company that is trying to prove it cares about the environment. It comes with a 75 page manual on bleached, coated-stock paper. The kettle has an on off switch and no other controls or settings. Which means the entire operating instructions would fit on something little bigger than a business card.

The kettle features push button power and auto-shutoff and is made entirely from BPA-free plastic. Additionally, the powerful heating element is concealed under a stainless steel plate at the bottom of the kettle.
